Journal 2

Activity 1.1
   The people I typically interact with are supervisors, coworkers, staff, children and families. I will also be interacting in the future with community partners, corporate executive staff, volunteers and prospective families.

Activity 1.2
   I would offer both families pamphlets on biting and the Childcare Resource number for more in depth information on biting.

Activity 1.3
   I visualize my business as helping children and their families develop emotionally, socially and physically. I also see it as a way to help families connect with the larger community.
   Yes. I consider us a very affordable center.  We are also able to offer financial aid and scholarships to our families.
    We use a literacy based curriculum and promote positive skill development through developmentally appropriate activities.
    The Y "We are for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We  offer programs like Mickey Mouse Aerobics and swimming lessons. We have a summer camp for school age children and encourage sibling enrollment.
   The staff and the families are the strengths of my center. We have families who come back to us or stay through multiple children.
   Hiring staff in a timely manner. By that I mean not waiting until after they are gone to look for their replacement.

  1. If you haven't had training in the Early Learning Guidelines, then you might want to google Oklahoma Early Learning Guidelines. This is what good curriculum is built on. It is also required for 2 star and above centers in Oklahoma.
